Excursion - Malacca
Thursday, August 27, 2009
3:58 PM
I can be a weather predictor already! It was blazing hot yesterday ( my prediction was right! ) but it rained right after I got back from this excursion wtf. Damn badluck. Anyways, I'm ashamed to say that... we almost got lost during the ride on panorama. I shall put it this way, we failed when it comes to map. The bus route is slightly different from the bus route map that Amanda brought and we totally got no idea where we're heading to when we first boarded the bus. It stopped at central and we have to board another bus that heads to town area. I don't know whether it's scheduled like that or what. To play safe, we boarded another bus at central.
#1 We waited for Panorama here, stand no. 8! Very cute eh? But also very funny because it located quite far from Hotel Equatorial.
#2 The ticket is like supermarket receipt, no offense but it's a bloody-cheap type of ticket wtf.
#3 Luckily Amanda brought this map! Or else.. I think we'll be stranded in the middle of nowhere. The bus route map looks simple but you never know how complicated it actually is.
#4 Yay Victoria Fountain!! Too tall cannot capture the whole thing, paisei :X. Anyways, I felt a tinge of excitement when I saw this fountain from far because it means that we're getting closer to the destination!
#5 What a cool place, I like!! :D Unfortunately the vehicles ruined the whole picture !
#6 Many stalls selling handy crafts and local specialty products.
#7 Windmill near the river side!
#8 Looks like malay village wtf.
#9 Because we love malay village like that so we can hardly resist the urge to take picture here wtf.
#10 Mickey is posing, ahem.
#11 Jonker Dessert 88! It's like a traditional house judging from the architectural design, but they make it into a museum café so it's definitely worth a visit. There are 2 stalls outside the cafe, one serves dishes while the other serves desserts. We went there to have our lunch.
#12 Amanda's Nyonya asam laksa and my nasi lemak. They're simply marvelous.
#13 Ice-kacang and chendol as our desserts ;D. I wouldn't say it's atrocious but it's too sweet for me.
#14 Can't think of any captions.
#15 This cafe is so damn cool! I can see many angmohs in the cafe from the outside!
#16 Street Guest House.
#17 In Puri Padi.
#18 Some cannons located near the A'Famosa.
#19 That map is cute isn't it? It's Amanda's! Actually I have the same one but too bad I've used it for the stupid geography project hmph.
#20 Then we came across the Bamboo Hut Bistro and decided to drop by for a drink.
#21 And I ordered a cocktail. It has got a smokin' hot name, Sex On The Beach.
#22 Must camwhore with the cocktail since it's my first time having an alcoholic drinks. Shandy excluded wtf.
#23 And my face turned as red as a tomato after having the alcoholic drink wtf. Then I felt so shitty dizzy... or should I say semi-drunk? Amanda keep telling me how red my face and neck was. Fml.
#24 At the entrance of a museum.
#25 Wah got vintage train summore.
#26 I somehow find that the checkered grass is cute :D.

It's a good experience afterall. I believe it'll be even fun if we can get more peoples to join us!

Pre-excursion Plan - Malacca
Monday, August 24, 2009
6:11 PM
I know it sounds damn ridiculous and dumb because I'm a malaccan and what's the need to go for an excursion around malacca? Like hey this is so stupid, you have to walk under the hot sun ( predictable weather wtf ) wearing the oh-so-not-cool shades and got a freaking ugly tan at the end of the day for no freaking reasons. Well, the answer is simple. It's because I want to know more about Malacca ( wtf this one sounds even dumber ). Okay fine. Truth is, I don't want to rot at home and I can't go anywhere during holidays so Amanda and I plan to go around some historical places in Malacca since we both like to explore foods and places and such.

So after digging back all the brochures and booklets I took during a research about historical places in Malacca for the geography project I did last few years, I found a booklet with some informations. It stated many historical places that worth visiting but not in a very detail form. Though I think it might help at least a little.

Here's the places I've been to during the research and feel like visiting again.
  • Porta de Santiago ( A' Famosa )
There's some cannon located nearby & it's so freaking cool! You can always find peoples doing paintings or selling paintings there.

  • St. Paul's Church
Met a bunch of Hong Kong tourists there that make us go high wtf. Then we interviewed them for the project. The place is very spacious and ancient.

  • The Stadhuys
Good spot for group photo taking at the museum entrance. I'm not sure about the museum though because... I didn't know there's a museum up there until I check the booklet wtf. I feel like a total idiot now.

  • Christ Church
Went to this place like a hundred years ago when I was a kid so I can't remember a single thing about this place. According to the booklet, it says the interesting features include the church handmade pews, ceiling beams, brass bible, tombstone and 'The Last Supper' in glazed tiles, like... whao.

  • St. John's Fort
Can go up to the hill to view the scenery but you'll end up suffering from so-called breathing difficulties or suffocation eventhough staircase was provided wtf.

  • The People's Museum
A not-scary-at-all museum. It provides good information about spinning tops and kites. Spent hours copying the informations about spinning tops and kites without knowing that it's totally useless for the project.
  • There's a lot more like clock tower and victoria fountain but it's not in the booklet so I'll just leave it.

For the excursion on Wednesday, we decided to go by Panorama bus or whatever tourists transportation service because :

Melaka “Tourist Bus” service known as "Panorama Melaka" provides a cheaper and leisure way to explore Melaka. These buses stop at 23 famous attraction places ranging from historical sites to shopping complexes and leisure areas.

Moreover, with the concept of hop on or off on a daily flat rate, the Panorama Melaka bus service is simply an attractive choice! You could hop off the bus as you please (at designated bus stop). Take your own leisure time to visit the area. Later you could simply hop on the next bus to the next destination.

Where to buy the tickets? Just purchase the tickets on board any Panorama Bus.

Quoted from a random travel web
It's so freaking convenient isn't it? So definitely we're going to try this out!

I got no idea where are we going to hop off the bus, probably near jonker street so we can try out all the foods along the street! By then my blog can officiallly turn into a food blog wtf. And taking pictures is a must hehe.

Anyways we're just going to explore the town area, but I was thinking of going further rather than just around the town. Then the urge to go to Tanjung Bidara suddenly strikes me eventhough the sea water is badly polluted. I love beach alot so yeah. I even feel like having a picnic there wtf. Oh damn my mind is drifting too far again.

    Everyone Loves Japanese Junkies !
    Sunday, August 23, 2009
    5:27 PM
Look what I found in JJ last week . They're all my boredom killers .
Different types of junkies ranging from biscuits to white cookies to biscuit sticks . Seriously I can spend hours munching these biscuits and licking the cream off wtf . Bought the biscuit and white cookie because the packaging looks good but never consider about its tastiness . So blind right but what to do I always got attracted by nice packaging junkies .
Close-up of the white cookie . Very small very cubish . I wondered how it tastes before trying it and when I finally tried it , I was like ' oh shit I should've bought more ! ' I tried to find for this small cube thingy everywhere , but to no avail . Only JJ has it , but it's impossible for mom to drive me up all the way to JJ since it's like 10km + away from my house so I have to eat this really slow .

If anyone knows where to get this other than JJ , please let me know okay ! Your help is much appreciated and thanks in advance .

    Nedeje Patisserie Cake House
    Friday, August 21, 2009
    7:31 PM
I think my blog gonna become a food blog soon , seriously . I don't know why but I noticed most of the recent posts is about foods and cafes , and to be truth , I still have alot more to post .

So Amanda and I went to this cake house or cafe called Nadeje after school . Have been to this place a few times already and I really like the ambiance . I even posted an entry about their cakes earlier , but no big deal , that's just some random stuffs I wanna share . This time I'll go in a little more detail about the place and all .
This is Nadeje . Their mille crepe is the best . Trust me , the cake is simply seducing and worth trying . You definitely won't regret paying for that cake ( because it's expensive unlike secret recipe one wtf ) . By the way , I like the reflection on the glass window .
Seats ! They have different types of seats , at least 4 including the outdoors one . And all the framed pictures hanging on the wall are cool . Seriously cool . I like it so much man !
I've taken a big step to order the food which I'm not daring enough to try , but with the oh-so-few choices in the menu , I had to . You must be wondering why not just get some cakes since I insisted that the cakes are good ? Well , it's because I don't want to see cakes anymore , because I've been having alot of cakes lately , because I don't feel like eating cakes , because I'm not in the cake-eating-mood , because of everything wtf . Reluctantly , I ordered this Japanese dish , Chicken Teriyaki Don in hope that it will tastes good ;X
.. and it didn't turn me down ! At least it's something ... edible wtf . I know it looks a little bit gross but seriously it wasn't THAT bad afterall , but not recommended unless you like something with heavy taste ;X

I'm sorry for not putting any mille crepe pictures here . Like I said , I didn't order the cake so yeah . I try to find the old mille crepe pictures I took but couldn't , guess I've deleted it . If you don't mind squinting your eyes to see the super tiny picture of the cake , check this out .

    Happening Wednesday
    Thursday, August 20, 2009
    10:06 PM
Went JJ last night and had dinner in Mc'D . They have this tamagotchi toys , I repeat , tamagotchi toys not the egg , and guess what ? It's freaking cheap . I mean , look . Mc'D's toys are always highly priced be it something good or lousy . So I manage to grab 2 without having to order the stupid happy meal . But then again , I missed the previous 2 , now it's not a complete collection anymore ! You totally got no idea how much I love collecting those 'useless and priceless' ( according to my mom ) stuffs . 'Someone' even asked me to grow up wtf . You know who you are ;D . Sorry readers , I can't reveal her identity or else she'll chop my head off . By the way I really want a real tamagotchi ..
I admit I'm self-obsessed but what more can a girl do when she's completely bored with the food in the foodcourt ? Maybe not cause I had Mc'D for dinner . It's my mom who got bored with the food there wtf .
I love going to the toys department because I get to see hello kitties and barbies . It's a lil bit childish though , but it reminds me of the old days when I used to play barbie like a mad girl wtf . And also reminds me that how much I hated hello kitty when I was young , but not anymore because now I'm getting obsessed with this hello kitty thingy after I started to join swaps . To be exact , it's after I found the hello kitty with a bloody stupid and funny facial expression somewhere .

    GACC 2009
    Monday, August 17, 2009
    4:45 PM
    Date : 15 & 16 August 2009 ( Saturday & Sunday )
Venue : Exam Hall of MMU Melaka
Organized by : EMiNA Japanese Animation Club MMU Melaka Campus

A very cool event , also known as GAME . ANIME . COMIC . CIRCLE . Okay maybe it's not that cool lah , for me . I'm not an anime person or what , seriously . But looking at cosplayers cosplaying various characters can be real fun . Some more can pose with them to take pictures .

Okay let's not go too far .
To make things simple , I'll let the pictures do the talking .
Yay waiting for mom happily outside the entrance . Very the pack inside the exam hall . Btw I love my nekomimi !
My loots . 2 handmade felt fruit charms . The next day my brother helped me to get 2 kawaii-version disney characters capsules from gashapon but both also not the one I want ! Lucky , much huh .
I want to try my luck on the tamagotchi-kitty , but too bad it requires 3 freaking coins which is 12bucks plus I only want the tamagotchi one so the probability of getting it is incredibly low .
The crowd . According to my brother , its not as crowded as Sunday .
    Gundam DIY Competition .
One of the stall . The green and yellow bean plushies are so familiar .
The stall where I got my felt fruit charms ! They're really talented in sewing . By the way I like the dolls , very the cool ! Noticed the kogepan felt charm ? FML damn cute .
    Wall of figmaS .
I want to be like her wtf .
Cosplayers painting Princess Euphemia cardboard .
    Pro-looking cosplayers .
..from Code Geass . Did I get it right ?
Spartan with his shield and spear .

This post probably gonna disappoint most of you who've been waiting to see the cosplayers pictures . I'm really sorry but most of the pictures are terribly taken . Unclear aka blur ( can't help by sharpening the image wtf ) , light-overexposure , ugly color tone and strangers showing their faces when you trying to take pictures of cosplayers .

Anyways that's all . Oh yeah , did I mention I only went for the first day ? So yeah , no pictures of second day , sorry :X .

    Black & White Café
    Thursday, August 13, 2009
    9:48 PM
Finally . It's like a decade ago since I last hangout with Amanda , and guess what ? We have our lunch at black & white cafe again . Was supposed to blog about this cafe when we went there for the first time but just forget bout it . I didn't bring my camera along that time . Anyways it's not too late to blog about it now since it's still quite new !
The cafe . Very the relaxing and calm . Wondering why there's no peoples in the picture ? Just keep reading and you'll know .
The interior of the cafe . Plain and bright . Good spot for camwhoring .
Green Tea Waffle . I ordered the same waffle last time but they said it's not available so I ordered a normal waffle with kaya and butter . Seriously I think I won't be ordering any waffles from this cafe anymore . You know lah , very obvious , from the pictures . This totally explains why there's only a few customers there .
Like I mentioned , this cafe is a goodspot for camwhoring , how can I miss it ! We spotted Le Yin and Pei Lee having lunch there too .
Took this out of boredom when waiting for Amanda to try her pants . Looking at this picture reminds me of something , that is , never ever buy jeans which doesn't suits you wtf .
  • Brown tank top : Padini Authentic
  • Washed denim jeans : Padini Authentic
  • Brown & white polka dots belt : PDI
  • Orange mini hangbag : Padini Authentic
  • By the way , the orange mini handbag was from Miki kids but with padini authentic's tag . The tag labelled it as ' kid's bag ' . So cool right I'm still using a kid's bag !

and Gosh ! I just realised how much I love padini concept store . Oh yeah , there's this cool heels in Vincci which I've been eyeing on for a long time and mom almost bought it for me but the sizes doesn't suits me ! FML .
